Blog post number 1 The real me Get to know me Hey bloggers and readers, My name is Jayelan. I have autism. I can’t talk much but I spell things out on a letter board. I am easily judged by society, I can’t begin to explain how sad I am when people laugh at me. Really though, I feel no one understands. Because of my autism I get stared at and pointed at. I get frustrated when people assume I’m dumb, because I’m not dumb at all. I feel like I am treated terribly by students at my school, excluding a selected few. Another feeling I get is worthlessness. I never really feel happy much unless I’m bike riding. I wear my sneakers and off I go. I bike ride down to the jetty and back. I like bike riding because it helps me to escape. It is the only thing that tells me everything will be okay, it is the only thing that makes me feel normal. I feel terrible unless I go for a bike ride. I’m not familiar with regular exercise much, as my muscles aren’t as strong as everybody else’s. My g...
